Position Description

Self-motivated, accurate, organized and data savvy professional with a clear understanding of the Merchandising process. This individual will support the Senior Merchandising Manager across all daily tasks in line with the seasonal calendar. Responsibilities will include:

  • Take ownership of the PLM system throughout the season, guarantee accuracy of all tools. Ensure all admin work is fulfilled with high accuracy
  • Work closely with the design & development team in Hong Kong on data flow and timelines. Ensure the team in HK is up to date with any developments from the mainline
  • Help in the set up and maintenance of the seasonal buying database, help to analyze the buy and form strategies for product assortment
  • Manage information flow to the countries before, during & after sales. This includes newsletters, line list, Buy updates, concept packs. 
  • Function as a point of contact for the regional teams as well as the teams in Amsterdam with day to day queries & product questions
  • Support the regional teams with specialized assortment building (i.e. warm weather assortments)
  • Build a strong relationship with the teams in Amsterdam (Merchandising, Buying, Design & PD)
  • Attend meetings on behalf of manager, communicate IM’s needs in the meeting and feedback results & findings
  • Prepare & set up for milestone meetings, such as arrange samples and necessary documents
  • Support the manager on open issues, ie. chase samples, data information etc 
  • Handle and follow up on product complaints
  • Independently manage ad hoc projects within the division
  • Work closely with the APAC Merchandiser on collection needs, report findings to Europe

Position Requirements

  • Extremely organized individual, ability to prioritize & multi-task. Ability to work towards tight deadlines
  • Proactive, mature & confident; able to work independently but self-aware enough to reach out if guidance & help is needed
  • Able to self-manage & self-motivate, confident to take ownership of tasks & projects
  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate & partner across with colleagues at various levels in a positive and appropriate manner
  • Open to adapt to and interested in working in a cross cultural environment
  • Understanding of working across multiple time zones
  • Intermediate/Advanced system skills (Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fashion knowledge a plus, good taste level – able to offer informed opinion on styles/collection
  • Flexibility, adaptability and a positive "can-do" attitude are a must
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & spoken)
