Department and Team:

The Sales and Merchandise department is tasked with sell-in of Tommy Hilfiger footwear to predominantly franchise partners located in 22 countries in the MEA+ region.

The team is based at our Amsterdam head office and has 3 key objectives

  • Reach Sales targets through active development and maximisation of direct and forward order sales
  • Building and customizing assortments per door, based on insights obtained during previous seasons
  • Be a pro-active business partner with all stakeholders, internal and external

The Position

In this role you are actively involved and hold responsibility for Tommy Hilfiger Footwear distribution with franchise and wholesale partners in MEA+ region. In addition to active selling during seasonal sell-in appointments with customers, you will also collect feedback from markets regarding the needs for the upcoming collection (e.g. styles, colours, and trends).

Position and Responsibilities:

  • Be a key point of contact between the company and its customers on all sales & merchandising matters related to Footwear business in the MEA+ NL region
  • Present, explain and sell collection to customers during sell-in, while aiming to have 80% of total (i.e. key accounts) orders in to ensure on-time delivery for first drop
  • Maintain close relationships with internal stakeholders throughout development- and sell-in process (e.g. via attending Sales meetings) to ensure alignment across product groups, and act on new opportunities or issues
  • Maintain close relationships with customers and provide in-season support (e.g. order fulfilment issues, additions, B2B-portal)
  • Show support and assistance to Sales Manager in pre and post seasonal customer performance analysis
  • Participate in regional assortment creation with a follow up sell-in in a digital showroom environment (includes assortment localization on a customer/ country level for good, better, best distribution)
  • Be an active sales person during seasonal sell-in appointments with customers, achieving orders in line with targets set
  • Establish and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing partners
  • Together with the Sales Manager, plan category growth based on a “Good, Better, Best” quality distribution
  • Proactive awareness of brand competition and what’s hot in the market
  • Develop a good relationship with the HQ Footwear division and provide them with all necessary market input

You Bring:

  • Minimum 2-3 years working experience ideally in fashion or FMCG industry global companies
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Haves:

  • Good knowledge of Excel
  • Experience and knowledge within a premium brand is a big advantage
  • Footwear experience in a similar role
  • Sales experience
