About the Department

Fitting within the wider Marketing and Communications group, PVH Studios is a talented team collaborating to capture, produce and distribute 100,000+ image assets per annum for E-Commerce Product Detail Pages (PDP) and commercial visual assets. This imagery we produce enables our wholesale customers to make informed purchasing decisions through our innovative Digital Showrooms and sales tools. It also enhances the consumer shopping experience by presenting our product and bringing shopping experiences to life in digital and “bricks and mortar” retail environments such as online and interactive digital screens.

About the Role

As a member of PVH Studios leadership team, this important role autonomously manages the Operations department which owns ALL aspects of Sample Management & Preparation to support studio Planning and Production. Furthermore, the role owns the PVH Studios ‘Problem-Solve’ function and hubs all stakeholder management relationships concerning sample availability and movement.

Critical-to-success will be a tight collaboration with Planner, PVH Studios. Working hand-in-hand, you will assist each other in building sample and shoot forecasts by leveraging available data, wider business relationships and good judgment.

In terms of behavior, the role adeptly navigates ambiguity and remains calm and pragmatic when plans unavoidably change. It nurtures a ‘Can-Do’ approach with all teams and always delivers on what has been promised.

Responsibilities

 Sample Management

  • Complete ownership of the global PVH Studios Sample Library (PVHSSL)
  • Develop and maintain close functional relationships with Sample Distribution Centre (SDC) leadership to facilitate operational excellence of PVHSSL
  • Develop, build, implement, execute, manage sample requests, data systems and tracking mechanisms associated with Sample Management
  • Develop, build, implement, execute, manage all in-bound and out-bound sample workflows and preparation processes –
  • including administration of Photography Management tool PHOMAS
  • Train all FTE and freelance associates in sample processes
  • Liaise with PVH Divisions and E-commerce stakeholders to monitor and chase ‘Missing Samples’ from PVHSSL. Re-invent and roll out new processes where required to mitigate.
  • Be the primary subject-matter-expert (SME) and point-of-contact (POC) for all PVH Studios sample related queries across the whole business

Problem Solving

Image Fixes

  • Image check of styles shot the prior day.
  • Support Post Production Specialist to adjust image order in PHOMAS if required.
  • Follow up on image issues from styles shot earlier in cycle.
  • Work closely with Post Production Specialist to close the loop on overdue styles.

Samples

  • Prioritize ‘problem-solve’ of overdue samples.
  • Acquire styles requested by trading teams through regional distribution center.
  • Monitor and action style cancellations with Divisions and E-Commerce stakeholders.
  • Ultimately own and fix sample problems that result in missed E-Commerce trading.

On Set Support

  • Assist Creative team with ‘LIVE’ sample problems to ensure productive shoot days.
  • Assess and solve issues concerning ‘styling items 'teams to ensure optimum aesthetic.
  • Provide on-set teams with priority samples to be fast-tracked through process.
  • Prepare and deliver styles with ‘Sales-Memo’ post-design changes.
  • Ultimately provide long-term fixes for sample flow problems that inhibits execution.

People Management:

  • Manage a team of at least 2 x direct reports (Sample & Operations Coordinators).
  • Train, develop, coach and nurture all direct reports including at least fortnightly 1:1’s.
  • Perform ongoing performance assessment with clear long and short-term SMARt goals.
  • Conduct annual performance assessments of direct reports as per PVH HR processes.
  • Manage poor-performance and coach improvement.
  • Remain ‘operationally active’ to lead by example.
  • Promote understanding and uptake of PVH Studios ‘HOW WE ACT’ principles at all times.
  • Proven track-record of managing and inspiring a small team.
  • Experience and hunger to drive automation and standardize workflows.
  • Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expereince with of ‘Continuous Improvement’ or ‘Operational Excellence’ methodologies.
  • Exposure to a fashion or creative studio environment preferable
  • Proven track-record of managing and inspiring a small team.
  • Experience and hunger to drive automation and standardize workflows.
  • Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expereince with of ‘Continuous Improvement’ or ‘Operational Excellence’ methodologies.
  • Exposure to a fashion or creative studio environment preferable

You Bring:

  • At least 8 x years’ experience in an operational or logistics role managing high-volume product workflows
  • Master proficiency MS Office suite (Advanced excel skills to manage and leverage data is imperative)
  • Business-level English (both verbal and written)
  • Dutch language skills a plus
