Position Description

Responsible for the end to end Product Development process, from conceptual drawings through bulk delivery.

  • Reports into the Sourcing & Production Director
  • Lead & Manage a team of 8
  • End to end Product Development, including sourcing, development, sampling, & price negotiation from concept through to bulk delivery
  • Calendar Management, both internally and externally to support the development and production of the collection
  • Margin Management: transparency and reviewing of costs at all stages of development & production ensuring all corporate, pricing and margin strategies are supported
  • Product Management: Launching, tracking & ordering of all prototypes & salesman & show samples in accordance with calendar and vendor requirements
  • Vendor collaboration including allocation, cost & lead time negotiation, sample & bulk ordering, management & delivery
  • Production Planning Collaboration: Forecasting, capacity planning & On Time Delivery of both sampling and bulk production
  • Cross Functional partnership to ensure correct product is delivered in accordance to design, merchandising, technical and quality requirements
  • Fit Session Collaboration: Ensuring fittings are carried out in accordance with the calendar, vendor and quality requirements
  • Risk Management Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to capture, troubleshoot & resolve any product related risks during the development process
  • Corporate Social Responsibility: Sourcing and delivering sustainable products against corporate requirements
  • Management of PLM system within category ensuring data integrity
  • Management of all departmental data, ensuring spreadsheets & departmental spreadsheets are maintained for business requirements
  • Analyze markets and competitors

Position Requirements

  • Higher textile education
  • The ideal candidate should have 6 years’ experience in development, sourcing and production, preference for runway or high end luxury
  • Management experience
  • High expertise in construction, and production operation
  • Proven price negotiation experience
  • Technical experience in all woven apparel a plus
  • Good communication skills in English – written and oral
  • Travel is required
