Department Information

The Central Supply Chain department supports the Divisions, Customers, Vendors and Suppliers of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein with all strategic sourcing, vendor management, quality assurance and quality control activities. In addition the department houses the Central Trim team which works with all product divisions to achieve leverage and synergies. Within PVH Europe, the department works closely with all the product divisions for TH and CK and the following departments: Corporate Responsibility, Business Process Development, Brand Merchandising, and Central Operations. In addition, there is alignment with the Sourcing departments of TH North America and PVH Corp, both situated in New York. Main external counterparts are buying agents and related Vendors as well as Direct Vendors.

Position Description

PVH is committed to eliminating hazardous chemicals from our products and manufacturing processes. To further our commitment, we have joined the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (“ZDHC”) Program, a global coalition of leading international brands in the apparel and footwear sector, with the ultimate goal of achieving zero discharge of chemicals in our product life cycle by 2020.

The main responsibility of the intern will be coordinating the PVH Europe Chemical Management Project. The project aims to provide insight into the level of compliance concerning restricted substances in the supply chain. This entails being a central point of communication between the vendors, laboratories and internal PVH teams. The intern will report into the Quality Assurance coordinator within the Central Supply Chain department.

Key Tasks:

  • Research and Analysis into finishes and substances
  • Developing a testing program
  • Set up and follow up on the testing program

 Apart from this key project there is a daily support needed on the following areas:

Support with issue resolution related to quality failures

Participating in the central supply chain and quality assurance team meetings, seminars.

Position Requirements

  • Start date: July/August2017.  Duration is 6 months.
  • The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU.
  • It is a requirement that the candidate is a 3 or 4 year student enrolled in a Fashion Technology Bachelor degree study program.
  • Good MS office knowledge necessary
