TOMMY HILFIGER OPENS ANCHOR STORE IN BERLIN, GERMANY
Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], is pleased to announce the opening of the new Tommy Hilfiger anchor store in Berlin at Münzstrasse 21-23. The opening was celebrated with an exclusive in-store event on January 20, 2015. Creative director and model Julia Restoin Roitfeld attended the event, alongside a range of local influencers, press, VIPs and friends of the brand, who all enjoyed live musical performances by American singer-songwriter Cris Cab and German DJ duo Dapayk & Padberg.
Guests were invited to create their own custom perfume mixes at a pop-up fragrance bar, and they also browsed a broad selection of Tommy Hilfiger collections, including men’s sportswear, women’s sportswear, tailored, Hilfiger Denim, footwear and accessories. The Tommy Hilfiger Spring/Summer 2015 collections are inspired by Middle America where the great outdoors mix with small town charm, resulting in surplus, utility, maritime and military influences combined with Tommy Hilfiger’s signature preppy twist.
The new Tommy Hilfiger store is located in the heart of Mitte – a cool, urban neighborhood in the heart of Berlin known as the city’s hotspot for fashion and eclectic street style. The store showcases a unique setting that celebrates the brand’s “classic American cool” heritage; original architectural features of the historic 19th-century building have been preserved, including ornamental ceilings, delicate woodwork and intricate flooring.
Special guests included creative director and model Julia Restoin Roitfeld, singer-songwriter Cris Cab, director Simon Verhoeven, actress Anna Maria Mühe, soccer player Christoph Metzelder, and model Eva Padberg.
