The fashion industry is on the brink of a revolution. Like it or not, change is coming and designers must adapt or risk irrelevance. The solution? Embrace “the machine.”

Steve Brown began his career in the fashion industry making photocopies. Fifteen years later, Steve was on the team working for Ben Sherman Accessories that won a Maxim Brand of the Year award, worked on the DKNY global Menswear labels, and helped set up the buying department for CALVIN KLEIN Menswear. Through his extensive work in the fashion industry, Steve has seen how data and insights are influencing design more than ever before—and he thinks it’s a good thing. He believes the time is right for the fashion industry to become more data driven and embrace “the machine.”

Steve has a Bachelor’s degree in Design Management and Communications, from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design, (Birmingham City University), enjoys competing with his twin, and believes that everything happens for a reason.
