Tommy Hilfiger Underwear is one of the fastest growing categories at PVH Europe with further future potential. The division’s strategy going forward is to develop a leadership positioning, with focus on developing further the underwear and loungewear lifestyle business, amongst others through creating a bespoke collection targeting the Global market.This division consists of the following teams:- Merchandising – Responsible for the creation, planning and implementation of a successful product strategy which meets the territory specific product requirements and delivers on sales, productivity and margin targets- Design – responsible for the creation of the concept, colors direction, product and qualities of the fabrications to drive the business growth- Planning – Drivers of the demand forecasting process, and responsible for placing and tracking buys for the full price businesses- Brand Operations – The interface between the division, central ops and finance, ensuring that all divisional and financial targets are achieved- Sales – Ensure effective and consistent communication between division, country sales and retail. Supports the presentation of collections to country sales teams and key accounts- Sourcing – drives the development process of product made for the European market. Working closely with Merchandising, factories and planning teams in order to deliver high-quality, profitable collections on-time to market
This is a merchandising role responsible for the maintenance and support of the global product collection in the men’s underwear category.The position reports directly into the Merchandising Manager and is a key global product creation representative for all full price channels. The role encompasses the support of the creation and maintenance of seasonal product merchandising lines. A strong knowledge of the processes, and product requirements for each global market and making sure that these requirements translate into product is key. Since this position is a crucial connecting function between the different departments in the development and merchandising process, the candidate must possess very strong organizational and analytical skills. He or she will also have great communication skills, not only in order to support the delivery of an accurate, complete and on-target collection that will drive sales, but also to ensure synergies between all divisions are being maximized.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Reports to the Merchandising Manager- Be the product creation specialist and the point of contact for all functions- Maintain seasonal merchandising plans and drive cross-departmental execution betweenDesign, Merchandising, Sourcing and Planning- Own seasonal in-depth booking analysis, identify trends and draw the right conclusions:- Analyze bookings by category, channel and market, SKU and colour- Highlight product misses and determine future opportunities and needs- Liaise / support regional sales teams and internal departments support on any product-related queries- Own key tasks specific to Market Launch: SMS tracking and processing, collection shoot foriPad, model bookings, hair and make-up and show room organization, etc.- Drive the weekly selling campaign reports in accordance with updated booking reports- Support go to market organization and preparation of all supporting tools for successfullaunches- Assist in product strategy to the relevant markets and ensure launches are correctly supported- Partner with Planning/Forecasting on all pre-market buying commitments and projections- Coordinate and support all Sample process from planning to sending and receiving.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- BA Degree or better in a Product Management / Fashion Merchandising or a related field;
- Minimum 2 years work experience
- Excellent organizational, communication and negotiating skills necessary
- High level of accuracy
- Excellent English communication written and verbal
- Strong analytical / numeric skills
- Excellent computer skills including Excel and Power Point; Adobe Illustrator is a plus
- High flexibility, able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Brand ambassador / passionate about the product
- Team player, Global mindset, strong interest in fashion and market trends
- Able to travel abroad for work
