Our Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein brands have experienced phenomenal growth over the last years and continue to evolve. We are increasing the headcount in our Buying and Merchandising team to prepare ourselves for the next exciting years. Both brands still have remarkable potential and we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our Calvin Klein team to help us on our journey. This is a very positive time for PVH, why not join us?! PVH Buying is responsible for the selection, range building and product strategy for the UK+ business. In a constantly changing retail environment we look to build the best assortment for each retail location, based upon: customer profile, sales targets and regional retail landscape. As the lead buyer for one of our brands, you’ll be responsible for the UK+ Retail buying strategy across Full Price and Concession. You will manage a small team to ensure you are delivering commercial ranges which achieve all target KPI’s. Working closely and collaborating with all key retail stakeholders (Buying, Retail Operations, Visual Merchandising and Store teams), ensuring strong communication and a passion for opportunity and success are the foundations for this team.
As one of the senior members of the team, you will inspire and develop your teams for future success. Leading by example you will strive to involve yourself in PVH wide projects, delivering results that will support our five-year vision plan. Responsibilities include: ● Drive the pre-season strategy ● Manage the planning and in-season trading of the business model (with merchandise partner). ● Manage the process of taking product from strategy, planning, development and selection to stores - meeting our store and customer requirements. ● Drive the correct commercial balance of the product offer in line with business plan. ● Manage the critical path to achieve departmental sales target, playing a key role in the adoption and best-buy process for the UK+. ● Review sales analysis to ensure the correct balance of history; trend and product strategy within the UK+ product range. ● Drive your area of the business in team/business trade meetings, recommending actions based on commercial analysis. ● Continue to review product offering in feeding back on opportunities / requests for UK+. ● Understand CK / TH global product trends and interpret where relevant into UK+ catalogue. ● Apply knowledge of the current competitive market place and trends to drive the direction of the department ● Implement and exploit new systems and processes to continually improve the buying-model. ● Work with the Amsterdam division/s to exploit their capability and ensure ways of working are established in line with the business model. ● Manage your team’s diaries ensuring key meetings and deadlines are delivered. ● Forge close working ties with your merchandising counterparts, delivering full collaboration across buying/trading and exit. ● Play a key role in both store design / set-up (new and existing). ● Deliver key resources highlighting future ranges and engaging selling teams. ● Work in conjunction with Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams to identify opportunities for your department. ● Motivate, lead and develop your team. Setting the highest standards and setting the structure up for future success ● Provide a strong leadership style supporting the brand strategy and encourage others to do so. ● Build a strong team with a focus on succession planning.
● You’ll currently be operating at a Senior Buyer level or have extensive experience at Buyer level and ready to take the next step. ● You'll have previous experience of delivering success throughout you career. Experience of working in a branded environment is preferred but not essential. ● You'll have owned the development, sign-off and delivery of a product plan. ● You’ll have strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with ease. ● You’ll be a commercially astute and confident decision maker, communicating with impact across all levels. ● You'll be a strong leader who has a track record of developing a team in a fast paced environment.
